Read (heavily redacted) emails between former anchorman Mike Snyder and Dallas police-fire pension administrator Richard Tettamant

In our story this morning about former anchorman Mike Snyder’s resignation from Museum Tower work, we mentioned we’d requested emails between him and Dallas police-fire pension administrator Richard Tettamant.

In an April letter to the attorney general seeking to withhold them, outside pension attorney Gary Lawson wrote that the Snyder-Tettamant emails related to “retained consultants to the system specifically hired to address anticipated litigation regarding Museum Tower.”

Lawson argued that release of the information would put the pension system at a disadvantage in impending litigation with the Nasher.

“The emails reveal work product of the consultants and include strategy, which was made in anticipation of litigation,” Lawson wrote. “Further, the emails reveal what activity has taken place in the context of the contemplated litigation.”

The attorney general ordered some emails released, although with redactions. From other requests, we’ve also accumulated emails that both Snyder and Tettamant received. Below, I’ve redacted cell phone numbers as a courtesy to those involved. All other redactions are by the pension system, as allowed by the attorney general. In a couple of emails, the party other than Tettamant is redacted. These emails came responsive to my request for emails between Snyder and Tettamant.
